‘I’ll teach you a lesson you will never forget’ — Buhari replies Obasanjo

President Muhammadu Buhari has vowed to teach former President Olusegun Obasanjo a political lesson that will never be forgotten.

In a statement issued on his behalf by Garba Shehu, President's Speaker, Buhari accused the former president of being hostile to leaders over whom he has no control.

He described him as someone who does not have the moral status to criticize his government. The statement was issued in response to Obasanjo 's latest criticism. The elder statesman had alleged that Buhari took Sani Abacha, the former military dictator, on the way to the country.

“Our first message to the former President is that he needs a good doctor for good treatment and to say to him, ‘Get well soon’.”

“As repeatedly said of him, since Chief Obasanjo left office in 1979, he never let every succeeding leader of the country function freely, and this included the one he personally handpicked against all known rules drawn up by the party that put him in the office of the President. But Chief Obasanjo is jealous because President Buhari has more esteem than him and the sooner he learns to respect him the better.

“It is a notorious fact that in dealing with any leader that he failed to control, he resorted to these puerile attacks. As the grand patron, more correctly the grandfather of corruption as described by the National Assembly, Chief Obasanjo released today’s letter purely for the reason of rescuing his thriving corruption establishment.

“The elections starting in February will be free and fair as promised the nation and the international community by President Buhari.
“What Chief Obasanjo and his co-travelers in the PDP should expect is that from the outcome, we will teach them a political lesson that they will never forget. This margin will be much bigger than we had in 2015.”
He also denied the allegations of Obasanjo that the Buhari administration had started recruiting the officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) who would be used to rig the exercise.

“Claims that President Buhari and the All Progressives Congress (APC) have embarked on the president’s “self- succession project, by recruiting collation officers who are already awarding results based on their projects to actualise the perpetuation agenda, in which the people will not matter and the votes will not count” is not only utterly false, but a copious note from the book on the failed third term agenda of President Obasanjo,” the statement read.

“As for his attacks of the administration’s records in fighting corruption, what the former President said is no more than evidence that President Buhari’s war against corruption is succeeding. They thought it is all a joke.
“A leader who took USD 16 billion “upfront” to supply electric power yet failed to add a single megawatt to the national grid and to date, there is no trace of the money is jittery that he will be called to account. He is a coward.

“This language of his 16-page letter, likening President Buhari to General Sani Abacha, a man he dreaded and the one who jailed him under military laws is most unfitting from a former President of Nigeria.
“The claim that President Buhari has put in place rigging machinery is both outlandish and outrageous. We are unable to get the words to describe a 90-year old liar, except to say that by the publication of this tissue of lies against the President, he Obasanjo, not the President will fall from everyone’s esteem.”

The vehicles are two Bugatti cars, one Mercedes Benz GLK, one Mercedes Benz car and one Porshe, while the house was valued at N300 m.

It was learned that EFCC operatives raided the house of the suspect in Gwarimpa, Abuja. Owootomo, 22, however, evaded arrest.

The acting commission spokesman, Tony Orilade, said in a statement on Friday that Owootomo was one of the seven suspects whose locations were raided on Wednesday by the operatives.

He said that six suspects were arrested, including Chemezie Ezeife, John Onwochei, Joel Onwochei, Marvin Nwankwo, Prince Ojenike and Jude Olatekobowale.

Items reportedly recovered from Ezeife included a Mercedes Benz C300, a Toyota Camry and a Lexus Jeep, four laptop computers, a passport, two iPhones, blackberry phones and a Samsung phone.

Several suspicious emails were also said to have been traced to his account.

Orilade said, " The investigation into the activities of another union traced back to the Nova Estate in Apo led to the arrest of Joel and John, two brothers. John, the younger brother, admitted that he was a student of Internet fraud. He successfully disappointed one Miss Lynese from Zambia on Facebook in the guise of being a British citizen, Carlos Gomes. Joel admitted that hello.

" The items that he had were iPhone 6 and iPhone 7. He also admitted that he had landed in Benin, Edo State, all of which he bought with the money he made from Internet fraud. He recovered two laptop computers, a white Range Rover Sport, a white Mercedes Benz E350 and a gray Toyota Camry.

" The seventh suspect's residence, Tomilola Owootomo, 22, was also raided in the area of Gwarimpa after information on his shady activities. Exhibits recovered from the current large Owootomo are two Bugatti cars, the Mercedes Benz GLK, the Mercedes Benz car, the Porshe, $ 49,000 and the N300 m duplex."

The spokesperson said the suspects would be charged to court after investigations.

Dancer alleges Michael Jackson raped him for 7 years

A new movie about Michael Jackson started to gain a huge buzz before the Sundance Film Festival.

Leaving Neverland, Michael Jackson, a number of men, including choreographer Wade Robson, will look closely at the allegations of sexual assault and abuse against the late pop legend.

In 2016, the Australian dancer, 36, previously filed a lawsuit against the estate of Jackson in 2016 requesting damages of $ 1.62 billion.
Robson claimed in his complaint that he had been raped by the Pop King for seven years, starting at the age of seven and ending at the age of 14.

This suit was eventually filed and the judge ruled that the succession of the singer could not be held responsible for Robson 's allegations.
Next week's film Leaving Neverland premieres. This led Jackson's family members to hit the festival and HBO, who will be broadcasting the documentary later in this year.

I don’t own a car, I use Uber but I do not care – Mr Eazi

Mr. Eazi, who revealed why in a new interview he did n't own a car and that he was once offered a N80 m deal in the UK, but he turned it down.

According to the singer, at the time he turned down the N80 m deal in the UK, he never had up to N300000 in his account. Mr Eazi also pointed out that if one's self- esteem is based on how much he or she has in the bank account, then that person has a serious problem with self- esteem.

He said;
“If your self-esteem is based on how much you have in your bank account, then you have a serious self-esteem issue. Right from when I sang my very first song, someone offered me N80m record deal but I turned it down and at the time, I did not have N300,000 in my account.
“My first record deal offer from the UK was £356,000, I turned it down but at the time, I had done a tour and the total amount I earned was £12,500. I used the money to shoot the videos of some of my songs. I was left with £20; they were offering me £365,000, but I turned it down. The reason I did that was because my value was not dependent on what was in my account.
“Till today, I use Uber but I do not care and by the way, I don’t even pay for the ride because I was given Uber credit. But if you see me in the Uber vehicle and feel that Mr Eazi is poor, what is my business (with that)? For instance, everybody around me has cars, and besides, I buy cars for people. If it makes sense for me to use an Uber, why should I drive? Why would I pay about N100m for a car that I would probably drive just five times a year?
“There are better things to do with that money. In the short time I have spent on earth, I have made a lot of money. While I was into mining, I had so much money that I was living at a place that was a stone’s throw away from the airport in Accra and I was paying my rent in dollars.
“I was making a lot of money. That shows you how expensive it was but I went from there to squatting with my friend in a one-room apartment. I was sleeping on the floor in his room. Also, when I was doing the business of selling beverages, we started with a crate and in a short while, we began to import four containers every two weeks. From importing four containers every two weeks, we went back to nothing. In my life, I have had ups and down. If my self-worth was based on material things, I would have killed myself.”
On the backlash he has faced so far for dating Otedola’s daughter, Temi, Mr Eazi said;
“People can say what they want to say and if you want to let everything they say about you bother you, then you are not going to live, especially when you are in the public eye.
“You have to realise that as an entertainer, your life becomes a form of entertainment to others. I really do not care about what anybody thinks. He that is in me is greater than he that is in the world, so why care about what the world is saying?”
